The snow is still coming down here in Billings. I am officially done with outside time for the day and thought it would be a good time to pop in and get a little blogging time.
Did a full loop around my neighborhood at 9 this morning in -9f (-22.7c). My face still has warm tinglies and it’s 3:40pm. To get out of the house, we went and walked around the thrift store and didn’t see anything we could replace or make room for. Grabbed some totes for storage, reboxed our Christmas decorations. That’s right, for those who are reading this, I have a single box of winter holiday décor and then the tree. It’s the little easy to carry totes too. I can’t say the same for Halloween though (hahahaha). Now that I am on the subject, we are trying to make our lives as easy and stress free as possible. Having a limited amount of holiday items has been giving us that joy. A lot of it has become handmade items and or novelty tacky items that hold lots of memories. Seeing them once a year is nice and frankly keeps all of us grounded. This year we didn’t really bust any holiday décor out so it has been a weird state of time and we all have mentioned the lack. Will be aiming for Spring decorating!
Well I squirreled! After my walk and before the outing, I got to work on some personal projects and then switched over to commissions. Now that I am home, this is where all my focus will be going for the rest of the day, with little breaks here and there.
Super happy with the rest of my day. I feel like I am finally finding a rhythm in my day, especially since I am more free now that the little guy is moving around and playing. Everything that I wanted to complete is completed. Got a bunch done portrait wise. Didn’t finish the Candy Darter or the Chickadee, but I am thrilled with where they are headed. Especially the chickadee at the moment. The splash is sexy.
Finished a Bookmark today of the dinosaur balloon. I have to say that my version came out quite goofy.
As a reward for completing everything I took a bath and made myself a latte. Lucked out extra because I completed it all and Broly passed out. I even mopped the floor while the bath was filling up. I was like a ninja and I am feeling really awesome right now and ready for my reward of sleep.
