What you are getting? A piece of paper and mix media. You are basically paying for skill, because I have been pulling from the same media pile for the last 2 decades or more with purchases of black and white media!
I also use rocks and bones that I find rockhounding around Montana and other places in the west.

Also please note, I don’t not do sketches to pick from. this is a one sheet and go. It makes me feel selfish to use lots of paper.
