This guy is a living Dr. Seuss creature and a person can tell that this guy is definitely Horned and a total screamer. When drawing this guy I wanted to make sure he had that “I’m going to whoop scream look.” Some untamed energy wrapped around his eyes waiting to just let go at any moment and whoop and holler. Next Horned Screamer portrait will be it passionately screaming. Admitting that I was disappointed with the screaming, I was hoping for an Aztec death whistle sound.
Where they live: These birds inhabit lowlands in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and the Guianas, preferring wet environments like marshes, swamps, and riverbanks.
