Its been an interesting year as always!
We all got the stomach bug around Halloween and then we got covid. I stopped posting and focus on drawing and shipping. It’s been an interesting fall into Winter. Good test to the immune system and a wake up call to get back to working out regularly. I got it the worse and I know it’s cause of the baby weight.
(Thank you for putting up with me.)
Last year was metal health and growing a human. This year was dental and mental!
We welcomed a new human to the world in January. Had a tooth abscess at the same time. Got that taken care of and had to have 3 others out as well. The last one that needed out was a week and a half ago. Super relief! I dealt with it a lot longer than I should had and I am super happy not being in pain anymore. Not worrying when the next flare up will be. I would have to say over all this is a big life win! Yay me!
Sleep. I appreciate sleep way more. The baby stage is going a lot faster this time and I’m so grateful for years I spent working childcare. This child is on the move! He started walking this weekend and wants to play with everything that’s not a toy. But I have way more me time than I did during the newborn stage now!
Talking about time. It’s been weird. This whole year time has been strange. On one hand things are going extremely fast, but then I look at the year and everything that was accomplished and it doesn’t seem like there was enough time to do it all.
My portrait for a friend. Still working on. I don’t want to disappoint and my OCD apparently takes the wheel. Last night I realized I’m putting in extra time subconsciously and treating this one in-particular like a personal project. I apparently do that every now and then. This is that mental health stuff I am still working on.
Self aware and grasping.
What else? Went to Maine to visit my family! Took lots of pictures of frogs and won lots of skip Bo games. The oldest slayed the fish with Grampy the whole time. Can’t wait to make it back again!
Vending events. I participated in 2 art walks, 5 farmers markets, 3 pop up events, and a festival.
Went to South Dakota to visit Mt Rushmore and tented off season at the KOA. We live 6 hours from all parks and now that I don’t have to pee all the time we can venture out again. It took a few months to start to appreciate this freedom.
Went to Colorado Springs for a Ninja completion with Thomas. He trains kid ninjas for ninja warrior. That was a really cool experience and a huge group of super enthusiastic kids.
Well! I know there’s more, but I am going to call it good for now and come back later with more pictures as I continue to work on organizing everything and getting out of my hole.
Names of the individuals in the portraits: (above) Sinestra, Goose, Lucy, Penny (below) Penelope, Penn, Rose, and Bella
(More post are on the way. I have been preventing myself from updating stuff etc. cause of embarrassment due to spelling and grammar mistakes. So I will just be moving forward and will be more open with the fact that I have dyslexia and it causes me to miss and or add things.)
