I just realized, while drinking my morning coffee, that the first month after having a baby is exactly the same feeling as going to a whole bunch of parties in a row in your 20s. There’s just no alcohol involved and so physically I feel a whole lot better.
Less shaking. Still got sporadic waves of sadness.
Same hovering heat feeling over the forehead.
A feeling of lost time.
Way more ambition.
Currently, doing 30 min pompadoros. Will be like this for the next few weeks.
I recognized the last month that I was pregnant, I needed to focus on holding on to myself. Keeping that art part of me creatively hydrated.
I am so glad that I made this conscious decision, because recovering from pregnancy has been smoother this time around. My schedule is filling up and I am plotting out the future in a positive way. This time could also be going better because of how impaired I felt and how much gratitude I have for getting control of my body again. Loving the treadmill.
Made private lesson fliers took them around town. I still have places I need to drop them off at.
I worked on portraiture.
Website maintenance updates.
Listened to lots of baby grunts.
It’s now Saturday and I find myself sad that I didn’t get everything done that I wanted, but satisfied with the things that I accomplished this week and the things I reflected on.
Really excited about next week and seeing my progress.
